Style Stalker File; Victoria Beckham

From popstar to fashion designer and now beauty mogul, it seems there’s nothing that Posh Spice AKA Victoria Beckham can’t do. The fashionista has had majorly successful collaborations with Estee Lauder in the past and has recently launched her own in-house brand, Victoria Beckham Beauty, proving she really knows her stuff.

She may not be known for sporting incredibly creative and innovative hair and makeup looks, but she should still be pinned to your inspiration board. Beckham’s beauty style is a lesson in classic and wearable makeup looks and she has made having a signature style feel cool again.

When it comes to her makeup, Beckham is known for her smoky eye that somehow always looks effortless, whether she’s wearing it during the day or to an evening event. Her new range is a nod to her beloved smoky eye and nude lip look with her first drop consisting of three eyeshadow palettes (all great for creating a variety of smoked looks), creamy eyeliners for a perfectly smudged look and pops of metallic cremes to dress up your eye look. She later released nude lip colours and liners so you can effortlessly recreate her signature look at home.

She shared some of her best beauty tips with Into The Gloss including how she achieves a natural contour. “I have a trick for contouring, actually. I think a lot of people focus on the darker colour to get that look. But it’s important to blend it in with a lighter colour around the jawline, the nose, the centre of the face, underneath the eyes, the top of the cheeks, and the forehead. And not with highlighter! Just with something lighter than the contour shade.”

Beckham hasn’t always had the smooth and glowing complexion she has now and says she suffered greatly from adult acne as her fame began to rise. “I used to have quite bad skin when I was younger,” Beckham, now 45, told Into The Gloss. “I was constantly covering up spots and things like that. Luckily, I don’t have to worry too much about that anymore. The older I get, the more my skin settles down.”

Beckham has credited LA Dermatologist, Dr Lancer, for the turnaround in her skin’s health and has recommended some of his products to her followers. For her upkeep, she is now a loyal client of Melanie Grant’s Melrose Place Studio in LA and we were lucky enough to get a glimpse at how the great VB cares for her skin at-home. When Beckham shared the products recommended by Grant, the line-up went viral!

Her routine includes a double cleanse using Cosmedix Purity Solution cleansing oil followed by the Cosmedix Purity Clean exfoliating cleanser. She has always talked before about loving Bioderma Micellar water for a quick makeup removal and her posh side really comes out in her taste in moisturiser. Beckham has lauded the benefits of both Augustinus Bader’s The Cream and Crème de La Mer- two top-tier products.

As for her body, she loves budget beauty by Weleda Skin Food and is a big fan of Byredo products for both perfume and scented hand creams.
