Proof That Lucy Boynton Should Be Your Next Beauty Inspiration

She may have been on the arm of an Oscar winning actor but all eyes were on actress, Lucy Boynton, this awards season with the anticipation of what buzzworthy beauty look she would be sporting next.

The up and coming actress played Mary Austin alongside Rami Malek’s Freddy Mercury in Bohemian Rhapsody and while her performance was great, it’s been her retro inspired red-carpet makeup and hair do’s that have won the crowds over in her favour.

She has quickly proved that there are an infinite number of ways to style a chin-grazing bob haircut and that bold eyeliner is the beauty hero every gal needs to get on board with.

Take a look at some of her best award season beauty looks…

At the BAFTA Awards, Lucy opted for a graphic eye and matching ‘just-kissed’ lipstick. Her spidery lashes and touch of gold on the inner corner of her eyes gave her a distinct 1980’s -esque look.

For the Santa Barbara film festival, Lucy’s paired a bright red lip with lashings of mascara, a brushed-up brow and pink eyeshadow that was blended from her upper cheekbone through to her outer brow.

At the SAG Awards, she opted for an on-trend graphic eyeliner with the thin line sitting just above her crease line and an added dash in the inner corners of her eyes. Her half-up hair do was styled with a pretty black velvet bow.

Easily my favourite look of Lucy’s, for the Golden Globes she once again proved you should be having fun with your eyeshadow shapes. Her shadow created a frame around her eyes and it was paired with a natural lip. Her tousled bob is the perfect example of undone beauty.

Perhaps her most elegant look, Lucy chose a soft and polished wave for her hair and pink eyeshadow that made her blue eyes pop. Her spidery lashes once again made an appearance and her look was finished off with a diffused pink lip.
