Gyms might be opening up across the country but if you’re anything like us, you’re probably feeling a little hesitant to go back into an environment that is notorious for spreading germs. If lockdown has taught us anything it’s that a daily sweat is non-negotiable, and you certainly don’t need a gym to do it.

It can undoubtedly be hard to stay committed to at-home workouts with so many distractions around and the fact you’re only accountable to yourself. Luckily, there’s a long list of incredible of online classes, both live and on-demand, that can get your body motivated to move. Not only do you have the freedom to workout whenever, or wherever you want, you don’t have to worry about schlepping a bag to the gym and contending with the risk that comes with it right now.

Unfortunately, you miss out on the tranquil atmosphere of Shelter’s Double Bay studio however their online classes are as good as the real thing. They offer multiple membership options that range from prices per class to weekly memberships for their Ride, Sculpt and Strength classes. Their live-streamed classes come packed with the same high-beat energy of their in-studio classes and they also have a range of on demand classes you can choose to complete whenever it suits you.

This Is Yoga Live Streaming

My favourite yoga studio has taken their class schedule online, and even though their studios are now back and operating again I find it way more convenient doing my daily yoga from the comfort of my own living room. This is Yoga have a great selection of daily classes live streamed plus a catalogue of on demand classes in case you can’t make a scheduled live-streamed class. For just $20 per week for full access to all the online classes I think it’s a bargain!

Vive Stream from Vive Active

Another favourite studio from Double Bay has taken their famous reformer and mat Pilates classes online. If you’re lucky enough to have a reformer machine at home, you can join in on their guided reformer classes. If not, their Pilates mat classes will work up just as much of a burn. The classes are available on demand for a weekly membership fee. And, if you struggle to stay accountable, they have live streamed classes you can join where their trainers workout with you through every step.

PWR At Home With Kelsey Wells via the Sweat App

Kelsey Wells started her own fitness journey from the comfort of her home so you know her own at-home program has been designed to get real results. The workouts are broken down via muscle group but there are plenty of full-body attacks too. They’re easy to follow and use basic equipment that’s readily available. The workouts change week to week and get more advanced as you get stronger and your nutrition is even taken care of in the app too. Best of all, it’s a total steal.

She became a household name as head ninja on The Biggest Loser and trains the likes of Chris Hemsworth and his wife, Elsa Pataky, so it only made sense that Tiffany Hall created an app filled with her expert knowledge. The easy to follow workouts span from high energy hit circuits to meditation and allow you to really improve your fitness in less than 20 minutes a day. The app gives you the benefits of so much more than the workouts with a focus on nutrition and mindfulness too. It’s also really affordable!

The free Nike Training Club app is a must-have and a solid staple in any active lifestyle. It has a really wide range of workout options from targeted muscle group workouts to full body circuits, yoga, stretching and options to workout with or without equipment. The workouts are guided by Nike’s professional trainers with videos and are really easy to follow. Best of all, you can do them any time you please.
