DIY Lash & Brow Tinting

I’m a fan of many DIY beauty treatments even when we aren’t in the midst of a global pandemic. So now that the time has come that we can’t access most of our usual beauty services I thought I’d share a few of my favourite inexpensive D.I.Y beauty treatments that you can adequately do yourself, at home.

I love a good eyebrow tint every few weeks, it makes my eyebrows look fuller, thicker and gives them a better shape. I used to religiously go to a salon for the treatment, until I decided that this was something I could probably attempt to do myself and use the extra time to get work done.

I’ve been doing my own brows now for several years and you’ll be pleased to know it really is super simple.

WHICH BRAND?

I use the 1000 Hour eyelash & Brow Dye Kit in Dark Brown which can be picked up from Priceline for $15.99.

The cost of the pack is the same price as one ‘in salon’ tint. I estimate you would get at least ten if not twenty uses out of the one tinting kit. So it definitely saves you both time and money!

These kits are also suitable for tinting the eyelashes too.

HOW IS IT DONE?

You literally mix a five cent piece sized amount of the dye with 10 drops of activator and use the applicator to apply it to the brows. Everything you need is within the kit, it’s not messy and it’s easy to use.

When you apply it to the brows remember to apply it to any baby hairs you want darker too, this will make the brows look fuller.

Leave the dye on for 10 minutes then wipe off with a damp cotton pad.

That’s it!!! Too easy!

WOULD I DO IT AGAIN?

Yes, I already have multiple times. DIY brow tinting only for me!!
