05 Jul Winter Make-up at its Best!

Deltas stunning cover shot from last month

Abbey Lee Kershaw on the cover of the latest issue of Vogue

I love these images, and although this winter chill is pretty hard to take after a month in the tropics these pics made me smile! Vogue Australia has captured these two Aussie beauties at their best. This is a prime example of whats hot in make-up for winter. Once again as the weather has cooled so has the use of eyeliner, this season  icy brown eye shadow should be used to define your eyes instead liner. Both these ladies have minimal eye liner on and you can see the effect it has on their eyes… It makes the colour pop!

Tips for the Perfect winter face-

Use an illuminator to make your complexion glow.

Hold off on the eyeliner, use varying shades of brown to define the eyes. Use one shade on the upper lid and a darker shade to define the lower lash line and the crease of the top lid.

Place a dab of Illuminate in the inner corner of the eye to open and freshen up the eyes.

Find a creamy frosted lip colour in nude or light brown for a full shimmering lip.

Winter Product Favourites-

Shiseido Shimmer Cream Eyeshadow in Sable $44. These eye shadows are amazing. Silky smooth, they stay in place, and the colour is intense and easily blended.

MeMeMe cosmetics Arch Angels $24.95. This is a dual ended tool which I now cannot live without. An illuminate cream in one end  and brow definer in the other. This is perfect for highlighting lips, brows and cheeks. The brow definer is a very natural subtle shade of brown. Perfect for adding the finishing touches to your make-up.

Clinique Chubby Stick in ‘Whole Lotta Honey’ $35. Chubby sticks are a bit of a combination between a lipstick and a gloss. They are in fact a moisturising lip cream in a pencil. They are super moisturising and perfect for combating dry/cracked winter lips. The colour is sheer and adds just the right amount of colour and shine.
