05 Jun Which Cleanser Should You Be Using?
Why are cleansers so god damn confusing??
Between foaming cleanser, milk cleanser, cleansing oil, cleansing balm, make-up wipes, micellar water and make-up remover god only knows how we’re supposed to know which to use!
The one thing that’s for sure is you need a cleanser that suits your skin.
Here are my top tips for finding a cleanser that is perfect for you-
- Use a gentle product. Cleansers are renowned for stripping the skin, depriving it of it’s natural oils and upsetting the skins balance.
- Opt for a cleanser that contains less alcohol and fragrance and more natural or highly purified ingredients.
- What is your skin type? In my opinion the following cleansers suit these skin types best-
Dry skin- Oil cleanser, foaming cleanser, cleansing balm, micellar water, cleansing milk/lotion.
Oily Skin- Foaming cleanser, cleansing oil.
Combination Skin- foaming cleanser, cleansing oil, micellar water.
Sensitive Skin- Foaming cleanser (must be gentle), micellar water.
My top pick? The NEW Bioderma Sensibio Mild Cleansing Gel. This beautiful cleansing gel is extremely gentle, yet very effective. Which means that it’s suitable for every different type of skin, from oily, right through to dry and very sensitive.
