06 Sep The Spa at Fifty Four Park Street, Sydney

image of poolLeaving the hustle and bustle of Castlereagh Street and entering Fifty Four Park Street Health Club and Day Spa is a wonderfully surreal experience. Immediately you face a cascade of chandeliers, which hang over the entrance staircase. The descent to the day spa entrance overlooks a huge 22-metre plunge pool that lies below.

I find day spas all tend to have their own unique atmosphere to offer clients. Fifty Four Park Street feels like a real life palace hidden away in the city’s centre.

The spa provides state-of-the-art treatments including facials, body wraps, manicure, pedicure and Vichy showers. My beauty therapist Eve recommended a customised facial, which involved an initial skin assessment to determine which treatment would give me the best results. I also added on an Omnilux session and a shape and polish manicure.

A customised facial is $130 and an Omnilux session as an add on is $60. A session of Omnilux on its own is $110 so I highly recommend adding it to your facial. The shape and polish was $30 as an add on ($35 on its own).

If you are after an escape from city life, but don’t want to travel far I highly recommend Fifty Four Park Street Day Spa. I left with practically poreless skin and perfectly polished nails.
