20 Jun The Face Mask Celebrities Love
My favorite part of checking my social media feed daily is getting a glimpse into celebrity’s private beauty routines. Any time a celebrity uses Instagram or Snap Chat and there’s a bottle of moisturizer or fake tan in the background I get excited… and then spend hours hunting down the product on the Internet. Recently Kim Kardashian shared her morning routine on Snap Chat, which is unfortunately unrealistic for me to copy at a total of $1440.
The biggest trend that I’ve noticed from my social media stalking is that celebrities love sheet masks. Those crazy masks you slap on your face that make you look like a serial killer are a big hit in Hollywood, and there’s a good reason why. They work by sealing in active ingredients and forcing your skin to absorb them in the most efficient way. Sheet masks are particularly popular post air travel as your skin in desperate need of hydration and nutrients.
Here are our favorite sheet masks to give your skin some A-list treatment at home. For best results, use a sheet mask 1-2 times a week.
ModelCo Hydro-Glow Miracle Mask ($14)
This three-step sheet mask contains a cleanser, concentrated skin ampoule serum and sheet mask, setting you up for the ultimate at home pamper session. Ideal for dry, tired skin or anytime you need a boost of moisture or glow.
Lonvitalite 24K Gold Eye Masks ($32 pack of 6)
These fab little eye masks instantly plump and smooth the skin. They are great to use before make-up as they plump up fine lines around the eyes.
Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Concentrated Recovery PowerFoil Mask ($125 for a pack of 4)
A weekly treatment, which infuses repair and anti-pollution technologies deep within the skin’s surface. Each mask offers a double dose of hyaluronic acid for a serious surge of moisture.
Karuna Hydrating Face Mask ($11)
Sun damaged skin will love this mask. It boosts hydration, skin elasticity and exfoliates dead skin to brighten the complexion. Bonus: it smells like toasted rice.
Verso Skincare Deep Hydration Mask ($112 for a pack of 4)
These masks are full of active ingredients and enriched with hyaluronic acid, grapefruit extract and ceramide-3, leaving you with softer, smoother, more hydrated skin.
Antipodes Aura Manuka Honey Mask ($49)
Hot tip: the Antipodes Manuka Honey Mask may not be a sheet mask, but if you suffer from dry, acne prone skin, using a deep cleansing mask with antibacterial properties before sheet masking is one of the best things you can do for your skin. Your blemishes will be banished, and your skin will stay moisturized.
