From her perfectly plump pout to her killer cheekbones, it’s easy to be envious of Rosie Huntington-Whiteley’s beauty. She’s been featured on almost a dozen international Vogue covers, donned the illustrious Victoria’s Secret Angel wings and collaborating to create more than a few Rosie inspired products. And now, the mega-model is strutting from the catwalk into the entrepreneurial world having just launched her own beauty site, Rose Inc.
A quick flick through Pinterest will turn up hundreds of Rosie’s best beauty looks, all with a touch of that classic 80’s Hollywood glamour. She does mono-tonal makeup better than most and looks equally chic with textured and messy curls as she does a slicked back bun.
It’s been noted a few times that one of Rosie’s favourite concealers for covering unwanted spots is probably one you already own – Nars Creamy Concealer. And when it comes to keeping those killer cheekbones looking bronzed, Rosie loves Chanel’s Soleil Tan de Chanel Bronzing Makeup Base. Her brows are always perfectly filled in and brushed up to look bushy, bold and above all, natural.
When talking on her evening look, Rosie said, “Most evenings, I like to have a very natural lip colour. Dolce Vita by NARS is one of my favourites. I’m a big fan of even lip balm and lip liner. They are the only things I carry in my bag — maybe a compact powder, too. To tell you the truth, I’m not that girl who wants to maintain her makeup throughout the night. I wish I was!”
As for her skincare, Rosie credits LA based facialist, Shani Darden, as her skin saviour and Shani’s retinol, Resurface, is her all-time favourite product. When she’s not making trips to her facialist, Rosie is said to be very diligent about her skincare routine and pays particularly attention to the signs of ageing such as fine lines and volume loss.
Her lush blonde locks haven’t seen any drastic changes since the start of her time in the public eye and tend to stick between a shoulder length lob and style finishing at or just above her bra. What’s worth mentioning about her hair, is the incredible body, texture and dimension she creates in her fine hair through her colour choice and styling products. Rosie’s roots are often a slightly darker shade than the rest of her hair and a variety of techniques including balayage, highlight and babylights are used to give her locks that enviable movement.
Healthy eating is important to Rosie and she’s a self-proclaimed fitness fanatic. On her diet, she told the Violet Files, “I try not to beat myself up too much about it. I don’t want to be that miserable girl pushing a salad around my plate. At home, I eat clean, organic, simple. And when I go out with friends, I enjoy myself.”
Rounding out her routine, Rosie’s approach to beauty is one that we can all take inspiration from, “Beauty for me is about a good workout routine — that and a signature scent, preferably one that smells like a garden rose.”
