03 Mar Spider Lashes- HOT Beauty Trend!
The Priceline Pharmacy Festival of Beauty has just kicked off! And after having a quick look through the current beauty trends designed by Priceline Pharmacy’s Makeup Director Rae Morris and Hair Director Kenneth Stoddart I picked my favourite looks and decided to give you a step by step on how to create these simple yet striking trends.
Of course everything I used to create the look is available at Priceline, which is no surprise considering the ridiculously large range of beauty products Priceline stocks.
So here goes the step by step! I’m sure you’ll be able to recreate these looks at home but if in doubt Priceline offers consultations in every store, on how to achieve each look.
PUSHED BACK HAIR
So before we start on this one, I customised it a little to suit me. Instead of pushing the hair back off the face I pushed it back behind my ears. For the simple reason that the style lasts longer on me tucked behind my ears and it suits my face shape more.
No matter which way you do it, pushed back & sleek hair is a hot hair trend for 2017!
Part the hair directly down the middle.
Use Pantene BB Cream for hair which works like a leave in conditioner.
Rub it through the lengths of the hair for shine and softness.
Use John Frieda Mousse
Rub a moderate amount on the hair and comb through.
Push hair down and tuck behind the ears.
Finish with a generous coat of Pantene hair spray to hold in place.
The Spider Lash trend was designed by Rae Morris and I’m absolutely in love with it.
This look is all about the lashes, everything else on the face is kept neutral and subtle.
Apply Australis Strobe liquid to the eyelids with a soft brush.
This will add a super luminous glow to the eyes.
NYX Beauty School Drop Out Nudes Palette.
Apply the taupe colour.
Use this colour with a fluffy brush to contour the eye socket. This will look subtle but will make the eyes stand out.
Now use the darker brown in the palette.
Apply this to softly line the lower lash line.
You need loads of mascara for this look. 3-4 coats so it’s nice and thick!
I used Maybelline Big Shot Mascara for max volume.
Use a black pencil eyeliner to line the waterline of the eye only.
Keep your lip colour subtle, remember this look is all about the eyes!!!
And there you have not only a beautiful make-up look but on-trend spider lashes too!!
