24 Jan ‘Radiate’- beauty that shines from within

radiate
verb

1. emit (energy, especially light or heat) in the form of rays or waves.

It’s time to create for yourself a look that makes your skin and hair look as though it’s beaming with light. Dewy skin, soft textured hair and subtle tonal hues to define the lips, cheeks and eyes will give you a look that’s understated, elegant and striking.
Less is more, keep eye make-up to a minimum with a hint of shadow and a lashing of mascara. Hair needs to look effortless, with volume and structure but endless bounce and moveability.

HAIR

We started the look by using a dollar  sized amount of  Moroccanoil Styling Gel  throughout the hair. This product is a great styling gel that will give your style a strong hold and help to build a soft weightless texture. Moroccanoil Styling Gel  also helps to condition the hair so it will enhance shine and keep the hair soft. We combed the product evenly through the hair.

Protecting the hair from damage caused by styling irons means you’ll maintain more shine and have less split ends. I always use a heat protection spray in both my own and my models hair before using any heated tools. It also locks in hydration. We used  Moroccanoil Heat Protection Styling Spray spritzed liberally through the hair and blow dried it in.

Once the hair was dry we used a curling iron to start creating our waves. When we finished curling the hair we used Moroccanoil Luminous Hairspray  to give the style hold, luminosity and to make sure the waves wouldn’t drop out over time. I then followed this by brushing out the curls with a firm bristled brush to create a soft wave with a lightweight texture and the illusion of movement within the style. If you feel like the ends of your hair are often a little dry after styling use a tiny amount of Moroccanoil Treatment Oil  to rub through the ends with your fingertips. This will hydrate and nourish the ends leaving them looking smoother and healthier.

Finding the perfect lipstick that is almost nude with just a hint of subtle colour can be a tricky task. If a colour is too bland it’ll make you look washed out. Look for a colour that complements your skin tone and brings out the colour of your hair and eyes. I used MAC Lipstick in ‘Hue’  for this look.

An eyeshadow palette with a great selection of colours is a must for every girl’s make-up bag. It means you have just one compact with all the colours you need. I love  Urban Decay Naked Palette , the  colours in the center of the palette would be perfect for this look. (buy online HERE)

I used Strivectin CC Anti Ageing Face Tint for this look. It’s the perfect CC cream to even out the skin tone, cover imperfections and yet still look like you aren’t wearing any make-up at all.
