26 Apr Quick Fix Skin Hydration

Written by Laura Harriss

As we head into the colder months in Australia, it’s quite common for my skin to become a lot more dry and flaky, as well as quite dull in appearance.

It’s important to constantly hydrate our skin with the right vitamins and oils in order to keep it hydrated over the cooler months which will result in a more youthful and moisturised looking complexion.

Not only should we be drinking at least 3 litres of water a day, it’s also important to add moisture to the top of the skin, allowing our skin to then soak up that extra moisture.

My personal favourite body moisturiser, which leaves my body feeling soft and silky, without being greasy, is Vaseline’s Intensive Care Advanced Strength Lotion.

What I love about this moisturiser is that it’s great for sensitive skin. The formula is also made up of micro-droplets of Vaseline jelly, which deeply absorbs into all layers of your skin, so instead of sitting on top of the skin; it moisturises to restore the skin and its appearance from within.

I like to use this over my entire body, day and night, as I feel like that gives my skin a high level of hydration.

For my face, I like to use a 3-step method to hydrate my face, and to brighten and improve my skin’s elasticity at the same time.

After deeply cleansing my face, I like to apply Dr Dennis Gross Clinical Concentrate Radiance Booster to my skin. This serum is made up of three acids — Pyruvic, Tartaric, and Linoleic, which visibly optimize the skin’s healthy appearance for a refreshed, youthful, radiant complexion.

Within a week of using this amazing product, the whole appearance and feel of my skin changed. Not only did it feel more hydrated but it also looked brighter and definitely more radiant.

The next product I like to apply to my face is the Natio Ageless Rosehip Oil . I’ve always been a sucker for rosehip oil, it not only hydrates the skin, but it also helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and pigmentation. So it really is a must have product for winter.

To use, simply apply 3 drops and lightly massage into your face. The oil is enriched with essential fatty acids and nutrients, which will make your skin, feel drenched and youthful in no time.

An additional step to really boost your facial hydration levels is to add a drop of Endota Spa Organics Deep Hydration Face Moisturiser. The name really does speak for itself….

This beautiful moisturiser is enriched with avocado oil, rosehip oil, grape seed oil, as well as vitamin C & E, and may I add, it smells like a bed of roses.

This is the perfect moisturiser for keeping my skin hydrated as it deeply penetrates to replenish any lost moisture. Another plus, it’s organic.

So there you have it, my 4-step guide on how to keep your skin hydrated, nourished and radiant throughout the cooler months.
