21 Dec Party Season SOS- Skin and Make-Up must haves to survive the party season!
The Party Season has officially begun and before we say goodbye to 2011 you need to sort out your beauty survival basics. Sun, alcohol, late nights, and indulgent foods all take their toll on your skin and body, so here are a few of my favourite essentials to disguise and cure even the most tired eyes and complexions or even just to pack in the holiday beauty bag!!
A. Simply Radiant- Anti oxidant drink $49 ( 14 sachets), Mix with your favourite juice this is a skin care concoction you drink to fight all those nasty free radicals and keep the skin glowing from the inside!
B. Skin Physics Cellugen Day Cream SPF 15 + $59. This beautiful day cream uses Apple Stem cell technology to rejuvinate and stimulate cell production. Its a refreshing cream, lightly scented and doesn’t leave much residue on the skin. With the all important SPF 15+ it protects from UV damage too!
C. Aves Cosmetics Cream Concealer $32. This cream concealer is made from all natural ingredients and uses mineral pigments to disguise dark circles and blemishes. A beautiful consistency and it lasts all day. A must have in the make up bag for those days after a late night!
D. SKII Signs Eye Mask $125 (14 pairs). These babies will refresh even the most sleep deprived eyes. Apply the patches, leave for 15 minutes and the skin will appear plump, bright and hydrated. They are indulgent and perfect for when you’re in the mood for a little pampering! An absolute must have for the party season.
E. Elizabeth Arden 8 hr Cream $23.50. 8 Hour Cream is definitely an old favourite! One of Elizabeth Arden’s first skin care products on the market, this multi- tasker is a favourite of mine- I have multiple tubes around the house. It’s a rich healing balm which can be used to repair the lips, heal cuts, burns and sunburn, rubbed into the nails and cuticles to strengthen and protect or pat onto the face for a dewy look. Too much of this stuff will clog the skin on the face so go easy, but using it for a healing balm you will never have enough!
