05 Sep NY Toolkit Essentials
I have literally spent the past three days shooting non stop from sunrise to sunset. Ive shot so much amazing content and worked with so many beautiful international models who are busy running around NYC from shoots to castings and back again.
As a make-up artist the tools you use for make-up application are the most important part of your kit along with the products you use. Before I left home I stocked up my kit with brand new make-up brushes, lashes, nail files, clippers and beauty scissors all from brands QVS and UBU.
I also used the QVS travel pots to fill with my skin care and shampoo and conditioner to save space in my suitcase!
The UBU brushes have been amazing, I have been using the kabuki brush, concealer brush and foundation everyday.
Shooting with gorgeous model Bianca Hepburn for an upcoming Oz Beauty Expert editorial I used the UBU brushes to create a gorgeous glowy base.
An early start so we chose sitting in the hotel room bed doing hair and make-up! Buffing on Bianca’s foundation with the UBU kabuki brush.
I shot another editorial with model Rebecca and while I didn’t use much foundation I used the UBU concealer brush to conceal around the eyes and nose.
Touch ups on the streets of NYC….
All the UBU brushes, tweezers, files and scissors in my kit!!
On the plane I packed some of the QVS mini pots filled with body balm, and some other beauty goodies to keep my skin hydrated. I packed the QVS eyelash curler, nail files and tweezers too!
QVS at Target and selected pharmacies nationwide.
UBU is available a Kmart stores Australia wide.
