NEW YORK NIGHTS
Big Curls, Dreamy Make-up and Worldly Aspirations….
Starring- Bianca Hepburn, Ford Models NYC. Shot by Sonny Vandevelde.
See below for a step by step guide on creating this look.
This look was inspired from a look I saw on the runway at NYFW. Big curls with lots of volume and some pin detail across the front. It’s feminine, chic and really pretty!
I saturated the hair with Kerastase Luxurious volumising mousse and Kerastase Lift Vertige Root Lift Gel to the roots and then blow dried the hair section by section using the VS Sassoon Total Protection dryer until completely dry. These two products together give the hair some real va-va VOOM!! Loads of beautiful volume right from the roots! Next I parted the hair on the side and used the VS Sassoon Conical Ceramic Curling Wand on each section to create a beautiful round curl . This tool comes with two sized barrels, one for loose curls and one for tighter curls…So handy!! When I had gone over each section with the curler from root to tip I loosened each section by running my fingers through the curls and finished it off with a light spray of Kerastase Micro Mist Fixing Spray to ensure the waves had maximum hold. I used a selection of Scunci bobby pins to pin down the front section of hair around the face creating a cute criss-cross pattern.
In the second look I used the Scunci Faux Bob tool to create a cute bob hairstyle. This tool can be used on any hair- curly or straight and can instantly transform a style. LOVE it!
On clean moisturised skin I applied a mix of Revlon Colorstay Whipped Cream Foundation and Revlon Skinlights Illumiinate in ‘Bare’ with a foundation brush to give me a lightweight yet glowing base. I used Revlon concealer around the eyes and nose to conceal darkness and blemishes. On the eyes I blended Revlon Shadowlinks eyeshadow in ‘Charcoal’ over the lower lid up into the crease. I then blended ‘Onyx’ Shadowlink eyeshadow into the socket line, the outer corner of the lid and along the lower lashline. This gave Bianca a soft smoky grey eye. I wanted a ‘hazy’, soft, smoky eye so I didn’t use eyeliner at all. I applied several coats of Revlon Bold Lacquer Waterproof Mascara in black and on the lips I used Revlon Moisture Stain lip colour in ‘London Posh’ which is a soft natural pink-ish stain for the first look and ‘Milan Moment’ which is a soft Peach in the second look.
