17 Oct Nail Lacquer the new best seller…

Nail lacquer has now replaced lipstick as the most recession-proof cosmetic. It has taken over from lipstick as the small indulgence we still flock to buy even during economic recession. In the last year, sales of nail lacquer worldwide have increased by 54 per cent, whilst in contrast lipstick sales have risen by just 14 per cent.

According to OPI the sales growth for OPI nail lacquer during 2010 was 20% compared to less than 5% in the make-up category and less than 3% in perfumery. OPI generated over $200 million in sales across 100 countries in 2010.
