02 May MBFW 2012 update

Kicking off fashion week with a burst of colour was Camilla with her range ‘Gypset’. The collection was a fusion of colours, prints and inspirations from around the world. Camilla being the queen of print certainly lived up to her reputation today!! I told you print was going to be BIG this season….

At Manning Cartel the hair was inspired by Frieda Kahlo with the hair braided around the head. The look was modernised by a hint of coloured hair interwoven throughout the braids. This was definitely a trend, coloured hair was in most of the shows, whether it was a mixture of coloured and natural hair or a full block colour. I don’t think it would be premature of me to say that natural hair colours may be taking a back seat over the next few seasons.

Romance was Born are always the most quirky and sensational show on the schedule at fashion week. I love this make-up, the blue winged eyeliner combined with outrageous brows and luminous skin. Make no mistake – luminous glowing skin is what you need right now! In every show the models skins were glowing, ultra dewey and radiant. Not a matte face to be seen in Sydney this week!

At Ksubi the look was definitely more wearable- luminous skin with a smoky grey eye and the hair slicked back into messy low pony tails.
