17 Sep Get Lippy!

REVLON Sponsors Marchesa during NY Fashion Week Spring 2014

Naked skin and a pop of lip colour is arguably the look of the season. As seen in these snapshots from NYFW 2014 every make-up style involves the ‘naked skin’ look. The naked skin look is make-up that doesn’t look like make-up… How do I get it? I hear you ask.  Yes you still want your dark circles covered and your skin imperfections minimised, but the trick is using a foundation that colour corrects and leaves a dewey finish without leaving a thick layer of make-up on your face. I find the best way to achieve this look is by using a liquid illuminate combined with a BB cream or tinted moisturiser. It is a good idea to use a concealer around the eye area and on any spots or blemishes too. Eye’s are left relatively untouched except for a lashing of mascara.

The important part of this look is the lips. Whether you use a bold block colour or dab a lipstick onto the lips to create a stained lip either will work really well. Try Wine, Plum, Berry or Orange colours which all look great.

I have put together a little collection of products which are great to achieve this look. All from Revlon, I use the BB cream and Skinlights Illuminate daily!
