20 Oct Can You Use A Straightener On Wet Hair?

I’m sure you’ve all heard before that using a straightener on wet hair is an absolute no no…. That’s exactly the reason I was skeptical when this latest product landed on my desk.
The VS Sassoon Wet & Dry Straightener   is designed to be used on 70% dry hair and uses steam to absorb excess moisture out of the hair and lets it escape through vents around the plates. The whole steam thing was another issue that made me a little skeptical. I have naturally very curly hair and anything to do with steam usually makes my hair a frizzy mess.
Nonetheless I gave it a go and to my surprise my hair actually felt amazing. It felt completely dry and super soft, and was completely frizz free. The key to using this product without damaging your hair is to make sure your hair is at least 70% dry and definitely not soaking wet. I like to wash my hair, let it air dry for a while and then use it. I’ve been using this straightener on dry hair most most days now, but it’s so handy that I can also use it on damp hair when I need to. This product is one of those things that once you try it you will love it! VSS327ABanner2
