TigerlilySpring2012

Casey La Chiusa  is a true beauty. A model whom I have had the pleasure of working with several times, Casey has lead a successful International career  working for clients such as David Jones, Tigerlily, Lorna Jane, Seafolly, Roxy, Hermes, Emporio Armani, United Colors of Benetton, Vogue Italia, Glamour Italia, Marie Claire, Cosmopolitan, and Grazia. Even without a drop of make-up Casey is drop dead gorgeous. You could say a make-up artists dream! perfect skin, beautiful eyes and great lips she makes my job easy! I chat with Casey about her ‘Beauty Favourites’ and find out exactly how she maintains that amazing skin.

*How would you describe your daily skin care routine?

It depends on the time of day. In the morning- I Cleanse, Tone, Moisturise. In the night I Cleanse, Tone, Mask, Moisturise, Eye cream.

I use products by Vichy, La Mer, Lancome, and from Biotherm’s aquasource range and Miranda Kerr’s Kora range.

*Do you have any beauty secrets or rituals you swear by?

La Mer Gel Moisturiser cream. It hydrates and refreshes the skin and leaves it with a soft cashmere feel. Its so amazing.

Also, I use 100% organic Coconut cooking oil as a body moisturiser. Good enough to eat! And it makes me feel like I am always on a tropical island holiday. If I don’t want to use something so rich, I use Nivea’s Irresistibly Smooth Body Lotion.

* What is the most important aspect to you of looking after your skin?

Its so important to me to look after the body’s largest organ, and its the first thing people see! From using sunscreen for being sun smart, to  using cell serums to elongate elasticity, its never too early to start looking after your skin. I started using my mums products at the tender age of 10! I’m 25 now.

*Do you have any products you simply couldn’t live without?

Bio-oil! Its so multipurpose and can be used all over your body, and it’s great for scars and to illuminate your skin.

*What was your last make-up purchase?

Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat Radiant Touch. Its easily my favourite make up product. Its magic.

*How would you describe your ‘everyday’ make-up style?

Very very basic. My work consists of always having my hair and make up done, so on other days I like to keep it very basic so my skin can have a rest. I use lots of moisturiser to give myself a dewy radiant look, and only use a small amount of concealer, mascara and lip balm.

* I work with a lot of models who have bad skin as a result of the barrage of make-up they have applied to them every day, do you have any tricks to avoid breakouts/irritation?

After a long day or week of full faced heavy make up, I wash my face with my cleanser and then just spray my face with Lavender Hydrating Mist by Jurlique as a gentle Moisturiser. Its so light and refreshing and helps my skin breathe and get back to its normal balance.

If I ever do break out- I swear by a pharmaceutical product (which you need a script for from your GP) called ‘Eryacne’. Its a gel that I apply on break-outs, and they are gone by the next day.
