New Years Eve is the perfect time for statement making. Piling on the glitz and glam is never more necessary. Even if you’re spending a low-key NYE at home, there’s no excuse not to go all out with your hair, make up and outfit, there’s still something to be said about saying goodbye to 2014 with a bang. So dig deep into your make up bag and pull out all the products you skip on a daily basis and plan a beauty look that will make you pop because it’s one last chance to go all out for the year. To help raise a stylish glass to the New Year I’m here to share with you the most fashionable and on trend make up ideas to help you go into the New Year looking your most fabulous.

On NYE you can never go wrong with a Smokey-eye and nude lip. Although there’s nothing new about the smoky eyes/pale lips combo this look is still completely fresh. By applying a dewy foundation to your skin you’re going to achieve a beautiful glowing complexion. Next apply dark brown or black eyeliner to your top and bottom lashes and smudge with your finger or a brush. Brush on a dark brown eye shadow to the crease of your eye-lid and bottom eye lashes smoking it out with the brush. Finish with mascara or false lashes and swipe on a pinky nude, beige or nude lip colour. To tie your look together warm up the cheeks and apply a sparkly neutral blush to give your skin that extra bit of shine.

Feathery Eyes and Bold Lips

Give the classic black eyeliner and bold lip look a  2015 twist by substituting the eyeliner with lots and lots of mascara and a few falsies. First even out your skin with foundation and concealer, then brush up your brows with a spoolie and fill them in with a pencil. Thoroughly coat your lashes with volumizing mascara wiggling the wand into the roots of your lashes for maximum fullness. If you want a little extra length add some individual lashes. Apply a pale blush to your cheeks and finish off with your favorite bold lipstick.

Glittery Eyes and nude lip

Sparkle all night with glittery eyes. Start off by applying foundation and concealer. Contour the cheekbones and jawline with a matt bronzer  and apply a pink blush to your cheeks. Tidy your brows by filling them in with a pencil. Apply an eye primer to the lids of your eyes to ensure they sparkle all night. Next apply a base colour, something neutral a light brown or bronze shade. Add a gold/bronze glittery eye shadow to the lids with a flat eye brush pushing the glitter on the lids. After you’ve applied the glitter then use that base colour again to define your bottom lases by smudging it underneath with a brush. Apply a thin line of liquid eyeliner and finish the eyes with mascara and falsies. To complete the entire look swipe a pale pink lipstick onto the lips.
